KSE among world’s best markets KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) has secured third position among the 19 best markets of the world on the basis of performance during the period of January to March 2010.

According to international analytical report, Pakistan stock market on the basis of performance stood at number three from January to March whereas increase of 8.4 percent has been recorded in Pakistani markets during the same period.

Today Market Overview

The market was positive on Tuesday in the expectations of a positive outcome regarding margin trading system in the SECP meeting scheduled for today. The KSE-100 Index surged by 211 points to close at 10,091 on the back of 100m shares traded. Most of the activity was concentrated in the Financial services, Banks, Chemicals and Personal goods sectors. The top gainers according to Index points were OGDC, MCB and PTCL; likewise the top decliners were COLG, NESTLE and PAK
